More about this item
Here are 4 lunch plates from a Mid Century Italian pattern. Hand made and painted from C.A.S. Vietri Italy. Each one has a chip or manufacturing flaw - possibly glaze skips. I am no expert on pottery, especially old pottery, but I believe one of the plates only has glaze skips. I have taken pictures of each plate - front and back. This is one of the earliest Vietri Pottery Marks. The plates measure 8" in diameter. I'm guessing these are lunch plates and not bread & butter plates.
#1 is in the best condition. I consider the blemishes on this plate glaze skips.
#2 has a chip or glaze skip on edge. This one has the brightest color.
#3 has chips or glaze skips on back edge.
#4 is in the worst condition with a chip on the front and chips / on back.
I have several other pieces from the same pattern that I am listing. See pictures and ask questions. Thanks for looking.
