More about this item
Here are 5 soup bowls from a Mid Century Italian pattern. Hand made and painted from C.A.S. Vietri Italy. Each one has a chip or manufacturing flaw - possibly glaze skips. I am no expert on pottery, especially old pottery, but I believe two of the plates only have glaze skips. I have taken pictures of each plate - front and back. This is one of the earliest Vietri Pottery Marks. Three kiln marks on top and bottom. They are nice heavy pieces. These bowls measure 9 7/8" across and rim is 1 3/4" from table top.
#1 & #2 are in the best condition. I consider the blemishes on these are from the kiln marks or glaze skips.
#3 Kiln marks on front and back and chips on ring on back.
#4 On back near edge there are glaze skips - and one is a chip. These are on the back. Kiln marks on front and back.
#5 This on is by far in the worst condition. Chips on front and back on edges. Kiln marks on front and back.
I have several other pieces from the same pattern that I am listing. See pictures and ask questions. Thanks for looking.
